To enhance overall development in the tiny tots the foundation is laid right from the first day of schooling.
To make the teaching child centred, play way method has been adopted for the tiny toddlers to develop interest in academics. Plethora of enrichment activities such as show & tell, sorting & placing, follow the leader, mystery box, stacking, rearranging, treasure hunt, identification & classification, flash card activity, multimedia, scrab book activity etc and different science experiment were done in each pre-primary class.
Various activities that are conducted to improve a child’s overall personality are role play activity, splash pool, colour day celebrations, Inter & Intra class competitions, theme based assemblies, special assemblies, Birthday celebrations, excursion, visit to different areas of school etc.
Value Education forms an integral part of the Pre-Primary curriculum. Morning Assembly is held for the Pre -Primary students, thought of the day, Gayatri mantra, Prayer song & National anthem are taken up regularly. Celebration of religious & national festivals, dramatization of stories, role play are also the part of it.
The general social conduct, manners, communication skills, artistic skills in art, craft & music are cultivated with great care and affection.
To remove their stage fear & to give them exposure we conduct some major programs Annual Function, Sports Meet & Convocation Ceremony.
To boost the confidence we choose the students of the week & student of the month.

Janmansthami Celebration
The Janmashtami Special Assembly was held in Doon Public School today.Children from all the classes participated in the event. All the events of Lord Shri Krishna were well narrated and enacted by the children. The performances filled the ambiance with sanctity. Doon Family wishes you all a very Happy Janmashtami. May Lord Krishna comes to your home and takes away all your sufferings with him along with the Makhan-Mishri.
Enrichment activities
Play way method of learning allow children to express themselves and reduces stress and anxiety, it provides children a creative outlet, improves the academic performance of the children, promotes intellectual development and above all enables children to think out of the box. Keeping the said notion in mind, plethora of enrichment activities were done in classrooms. Such as sand activity, air tracing, clay modeling, story telling, bindi sticking, dip printing, number blocks, stacking, follow the leader, treasure hunt, sorting & placing, flash card activity, classification, identification, audio/ visual, hopscotch, show & tell etc.
Write up Orange colour day
Colours are the smiles of the nature, so is the colour Orange. To know more about colours , pre primary students of Doon Public School has celebrated “Orange colour day” on 20th september’18 with great zeal & enthusiasm. The entire pre primary wing was decorated with orange colour object, balloons etc. Both teachers & toddlers came in orange coloured clothes and brought orange coloured food such as orange, biscuits, idli, rice, sweets, pudding etc. Clay modeling, finger printing & dip printing activities were also done in order to make them familiar with orange colour. The day was filled with fun & joy.
